Really Simple Syndication or RSS, is a very helpful tool that is becoming of more interest to people every day. RSS feeds allow people to stay connected with things they want to receive information from on a regular basis. A very common thing that people use RSS feeds for are blogs. When someone is following a blog, or has their own, a linked RSS feed will allow the user to recieve updated information on who their following and/or recieved comments on their own blog. Feeds are also commonly used with news websites such as msn.com or nbc.com.
Most people who have their own blog, will subscribe to another blog through RSS feeds. Like stated before, feeds are becoming more and more popular. One major advancement that has been made throughout the last few years in modern day Internet technology is the ability of receieving updated information fast from someone or something. News sites, social networking sites, sports sites, etc., all share the wonders of displaying fresh new information quickly to people. To make things even easier, RSS feeds are used. Rather then typing in the exact link of what you want to see, saving a link in the favorites tab of your browser and subscribing to the post makes things twice as easy. Hence the name, Really Simple Syndication.
