2 - IP Adresses, Domain Names, and URLs

So what exactly is an IP adress or a domain name?  The anwer can be explained very easily as you will see.  An IP Adress is just like a home adress.  Every Internet user in the world has their own IP adress or shares one.  For eg. internet users at their home will have one IP adress that belongs to them.  Internet users at a school or a building where several people are all share the buildings IP.  The network that is set up somewhere has an adress(IP) that all of its users will share.
Domain Names and URLs
There are several different domain names that are available in the devoloping of a web site.  Domain names are short extensions at the end of a web sites URL.  Each domain stands for something that informs the internet user what type of page the viewer is seeing.  For eg., .com stands for community or commercial and .gov stands for government.  Websites with .com obviously are commercial based web sites that can include anything while sites with .gov are government related.  URLs are the adresses for the site and include the domain name.
The image shown below gives a clear understand of what a URL and domain name is.  The Red highligh shows the URL while the yellow shows the domain.
